Dissolved oxygen sensors Our
pO2 and combined parameter sensors that include pO2
component are mostly supplied in a 'bare' fibre optic
format for invasive yet minimally traumatic tissue monitoring
applications.
A suitable gauge needle or catheter (e.g. Angiocath)
can be used to deliver the sensor to the tissue.
Also available are specialized needle-encased sensors
offering greater physical robustness and/or larger tissue
sampling areas/volumes.
BF/O pO2-only
sensor Format: Single fibre-optic.
Applications:
Virtually any tissue type; in vitro O2 monitoring; minimally
invasive, rapid response times, MRI compatible.
Requires: OxyLite E or OxyLab pO2 E only.
Product code: BF/O/E
Tip diameter: ~280 μm
Cable length: 2 m
BF/OT pO2/Temp sensor Format: Single fibre-optic + thermocouple.
Applications: As BF/O where temperature fluctuations
are expected; may not be MRI-compatible
Requires: OxyLite E or OxyLab
pO2 E only.
Product code: BF/OT/E
Tip diameter: ~350 μm
Cable length: 2 m
NP/O Needle-encased oxygen sensor The unique, robust construction of this
23G needle-type sensor enables pO2 sensing via lateral
‘windows’ – i.e. away from the site
of maximal tissue trauma. Oxygen detection occurs via
3 laterally arranged, precision cut regions approximately
3 mm distal from the sensor tip. Tissue sampling area/volume
is approximately 3 times greater than for the bare-fibre
sensors (BF/O).
Requires: OxyLite E or OxyLab
pO2 E only.
Product code: NP/O/E
Tip diameter: ~630 µm / 23G
Cable length: 2 m
